Writers Conferences
To find an editor interested in publishing your articles or books, you must attend a writers conference. Otherwise, your chances of seeing your words in print are very slim.
Does it seem unfair that writers who show up at conferences have an edge over those who send in their work in manila envelopes? It really isn’t. After all, spending the time, energy, and money to attend a conference demonstrates your confidence in your work, your professionalism, and your willingness to take your craft to the next level - whatever that is for you.
Besides opportunities to pitch your ideas to editors, the following conferences offer a wealth of workshops which will help you improve your writing and your vision.
There are other smaller conferences out there too. Find a complete listing at Sally Stuart’s.
